Securities legislation in Ontario
The OSC carries out the powers, duties and functions given to it pursuant to the Securities Commission Act, 2021 and administers Ontario’s Securities Act (the Act) and its General Regulation, as well as Ontario’s Commodity Futures Act and its General Regulation. The following are all of the amendments to the Act, as well as related matters, dating back to December 1999.
The Capital Markets Tribunal Rules of Procedure are made under the Statutory Powers Procedure Act.
