Investor warnings and alerts
As part of the Ontario Securities Commission’s (OSC) mandate to protect investors and the integrity of our markets, we issue investor alerts and warnings:
- Investor alerts report on potential harmful activity in progress.
- Investor warnings caution the public about individuals or companies that may pose a risk to investors.
The OSC’s registration framework is designed to protect investors from fraud and unfair or improper practices. Check before you invest.
Always check the registration of any person or business trying to sell you an investment or give you investment advice before you send any money – no matter how little you plan to invest. Learn how to check registration on our Check Before You Invest and Registered crypto asset trading platforms pages.
