OSC Announces Agenda for Roundtable to Discuss Progress on the Representation of Women on Boards and in Executive Officer Positions

For Immediate Release OSC

TORONTO – The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) today announced the final agenda, discussion topics and list of panellists for the roundtable on September 29, 2015 to discuss the findings from a review of the disclosures required to be made by TSX issuers, as set out in recent amendments to National Instrument 58-101 Disclosure of Corporate Governance Practices (the Rule Amendments) and to discuss measures that can support or compliment the Rule Amendments to achieve greater representation of women. The Rule Amendments follow a “comply or explain” model and require all non-venture issuers to make certain annual disclosures with respect to women on boards and in executive officer positions. A summary of the results will be published in a CSA Multilateral Staff Notice 58-307 Staff Review of Women on Boards and in Executive Officer Positions – Compliance with NI 58-101 Disclosure of Governance Practices on September 28, 2015.

The OSC roundtable will take place the following day on September 29, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on the 22nd floor of the OSC’s offices, located at 20 Queen Street West in Toronto, Ontario.

Any interested parties who wish to attend the event are asked to send an email with full contact details to [email protected]. Space is limited. It is expected that a transcript will be posted on the OSC’s website following completion of the roundtable.
