OSC Announces New Members of Investor Advisory Panel

TORONTO – The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) has announced two new members of its Investor Advisory Panel. The Panel comments on OSC proposals, including rules, policies and the annual Statement of Priorities, brings forward policy issues for consideration and advises on the effectiveness of the OSC’s investor protection initiatives.
The new members joining the Panel will each serve a two-year term:
Aletta (Letty) Dewar |

Retired after a lengthy career as an executive in the financial services industry. |
Louise Tardif |
|
Retired after a 22-year career as an investment advisor with National Bank Financial. |
“Both new members have extensive experience with securities regulatory requirements and have advocated for investors throughout their careers. The Panel has become an important voice for investors in the regulatory process and the new members have been selected to ensure that the Panel continues to represent a broad range of relevant experience, skills, knowledge and perspectives.” said Mary Condon Commissioner of the OSC.
The new members join continuing members Jane Ambachtsheer, Connie Craddock (Chair), Harold Geller, Ken Kivenko, Alison Knight and Ursula Menke. Following completion of his first year term, Alan Goldhar has decided not to continue on the Panel. “We would like to extend our thanks to Mr. Goldhar for his many contributions to the success of the Panel,” said Mary Condon.
