Delay in processing times for registration applications

Dear Ultimate Designated Person and/or Chief Compliance Officer,

As you might expect, the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic are having an impact on the OSC’s operations, including a delay in processing times for registration applications.

Please rest assured that we are processing all applications as quickly as possible, though a bit slower than we usually do. We are also working to return to our normal processing times as soon as possible.

Please remind your sponsored applicants and permitted individuals of the obligation to provide true and complete information in the Form 33-109F4, as set out in greater detail in CSA Staff Notice 33-320 The Requirement for True and Complete Applications for Registration. This will help to avoid unnecessary delays in the registration process.
