The following is a list of exempt exchanges operating in Ontario:
Bourse de Montréal
Bourse de Montréal Inc. is exempted from recognition as a stock exchange in Ontario. Its lead regulator is the Autorité des marchés financiers.
ICE Futures Canada (formerly Winnipeg Commodity Exchange) - Revoked
ICE Futures Canada (formerly Winnipeg Commodity Exchange) is recognized as a commodity futures exchange in Ontario.
ICE Futures Europe
ICE Futures Europe is a commodity futures exchange based in the United Kingdom. It is exempted from recognition as a stock exchange and is also exempted from registration as a commodity futures exchange in Ontario.
ICE Futures US
ICE Futures US is a commodity futures and options exchange based in the United States. It is exempted from recognition as a stock exchange and is also exempted from registration as a commodity futures exchange in Ontario.
ICE NGX Canada Inc. (formerly Natural Gas Exchange Inc.)
ICE NGX Canada Inc. is exempted from recognition as a stock exchange in Ontario and is also exempted from registration as a commodity futures exchange in Ontario. Its lead regulator is the Alberta Securities Commission.
Nodal Exchange, LLC
OneChicago, LLC - Revoked
OneChicago, LLC is a commodity futures exchange based in the United States. OneChicago, LLC is exempted from recognition as a stock exchange and is also exempted from registration as a commodity futures exchange in Ontario.
The London Metal Exchange
CME Group Exchanges
Each of the CME Group Exchanges, comprised of Chicago Mercantile Inc. (CME), Board of Trade of the City of Chicago, Inc. (CBOT), Commodity Exchange, Inc. (COMEX) and New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc. (NYMEX) , are commodity futures and options exchanges based in the United States. Each are exempted from recognition as an exchange and is also exempted from registration as a commodity futures exchange in Ontario.
TSX Venture Exchange
The TSX Venture Exchange is exempted from recognition as a stock exchange in Ontario. Its joint lead regulators are the British Columbia Securities Commission and the Alberta Securities Commission.
